  The story is  about how Liza deals with the issue of her father who had an extramarital affair with Sylvia, and consequently had a son, Lem . Liza was a daddy's girl that is why her relationship with his father got tainted after she discovered the issue about her father.

  Moral Values from the story "SINIGANG" and its impact to me as a 21st Century learner One of the reason why the author wrote the story is because he/she wants to share a message or moral values that is supposed to teach us how to be a better person in real life. The short story " Sinigang" by Marie Aubrey taught me a lot of values that I can apply in my daily life particularly about family matters.  HELPING PEOPLE Giving of your time or energy to help others not only makes the world a better place, but it also makes you a better person. Helping others improves social interaction.  HONESTY Self-respect necessitates being truthful with ourselves. Thus, we fulfill a moral requirement to respect ourselves when we are honest with ourselves. We can see in the story that Sylvia is so honest to tell Liza about family matters and her mistakes. FORGIVENESS Everyone makes mistakes.  Empathy, compassion, kindness, and understanding are all necessary qualities for forgiveness.
